Månegarm were formed in the cold end of november 1995 but under another name, which they changed the month after. In May 1996 the very first demotape was recorded at Underground Studios. The tape got named 'Vargaresa' and included four cold nordic hymns. Unfortunally, because of passivity of the band it didn't reach many labels and zines.
After a couple of months playing, a lack of interest was noticed in the band, so the guitarist, drummer and bass player decided to form a new project with a new vocalist and second guitarist. The project ended up as Månegarm, with a new line-up. With new material they were about to record the second demo at the end of 1996, when the vocalist suddenly jumps off. But with some vocal help of a friend the second demo was recorded in late february 1997 at Sunlight Studios. This time the tape was sent to quite many labels and the response was very good and in August 1997 Månegarm signed to Displeased Records. The rest is history, so to speak. Three well-received full lengths followed, with a new one expected in April 2005.
The 'Vargaresa' CD compiles the aforementioned demo tapes, with optimal remastered sound and original artwork, and impressive cover artwork of well-known artist Kris Verwimp. An essential addition for all Månegarm fans, since the album presents interesting embryonic versions of later classics, as well as never before released Månegarm songs. A limited LP version is available as well!

Dodsfard CD/TS/LS/Girlie-TS
Dodsfard, the latest promising studio album of Swedish viking heroes Manegarm
will have even more emphasis on the viking themes and lyrics! The title is
referring to the ancient burials of the vikings, and the music has shown to be a fine,
yet very recognizable elaboration of the band's first two impressive releases!
Tracklisting: 1 Intro, 2 I evig tid, 3 Ravenous, 4 Agirs vrede, 5 Dodsfard
6 Fimbultrollet, 7 Daudr, 8 Vrede, 9 Pagan war, 10 Ursjalens visdom, 11 Gillesvisan

Vredens tid CD
Elaborating on the initial style with each release, 'Vredens tid' is surely
the band's most impressive full length effort so far! Strong catchy viking themes are embedded in powerful heavy riffing and thunderous rhythms,
making this new album a classic-to-be!
